Waggener Edstrom wanted to create an online promotion that would generate some excitement at the 2012 SXSW Interactive event. We teamed up with the Portland startup, Chirpify, to create a way to buy your buddies a symbolic beer via Twitter. By linking your Paypal account to you Twitter account by way of Chirpify you could be buying rounds for your friends thousands of miles away. We created a responsive web app that utilized APIs from Chirpify, Paypal, Twitter and Foursquare to make sending an online beer as fun and easy as possible.
